• Flight search is the ‘foot-in-the-door’ for EG flight shoppers and one of the major traveler acquisition and retention channels for EG serving more than 100M+ flight searches daily.

At Expedia Group, In this role, you will:

• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code for software applications.
• Implement features according to design specifications and requirements
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge
• Work closely with senior developers, product managers, and other team members to understand project goals and requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging applications to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Continuously improve skills by learning new technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to the role.
• Seek mentorship and feedback from more experienced team members to enhance technical abilities.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for code, processes, and system architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate with the development team effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members
• Familiarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) and tools (e.g., Visual Studio, Eclipse, or IntelliJ IDEA)
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and concepts (e.g., object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to group dynamics
